We are least bothered by the fact that it was an accidental revelation from Sony. The truth remains that Sony has plans to launch the new version of its virtual reality ‘Driveclub’ for PlayStaion VR dubbed as Driveclub VR.
The news was broken by a Japanese PlayStation blog site. The blog was swiftly pulled back indicating we are in for a big surprise sometime soon. The blog provided some screen shots of the game along with the information about new tracks like a city track in addition to enabling players to view cars from multiple angles while selecting the paint.
Sony will be hoping to avoid the roadblocks that marred the launch of the initial Driveclub version developed by its studio, Evolution. It will also be making all out efforts to stick to the timelines, as the previous version for PlayStation Plus was a full two years late with considerable quality deterioration. These issues ultimately led to the closure of Evolution and the team later joined F1 2016 developer Codemasters. Some information about the new game has also been provided by the lead developer, Paul Rustchynsky implying that the same team is developing the new version as well.
We just can’t wait to play the DriveClub VR sometime around the 13th October launch of PlayStation VR.
