We should prepare ourselves to bid farewell to the current Porsche Cayenne as Porsche has started testing the next generation Cayenne. We have received 2018 Porsche Cayenne spy shots.
The hallmark of this new ride will be the MLB SUV platform already employed in Bentley Bentayga, and Audi Q7. This platform will allow a significant weight reduction (at least about 220 pounds), hence more agility. Moreover, the car will be sleeker dominated by a longer, flatter roof. Motorists should also expect enhanced dynamics, fuel economy and performance.
The powertrains are expected to remain the same i.e. V-6 for the base Cayenne, a plug-in hybrid setup for the Cayenne S E-Hybrid, a turbocharged V-6 for the mid-range Cayenne S and a twin-turbocharged V-8 for the Cayenne Turbo.
The interior will be having less buttons, as the focus is now on the touch screen features. The connectivity options along with the infotainment will be upgraded. The electronic driving aide and autonomous driving assists will also get updated.
The 2018 Prosche Cayenne will arrive sometime next year.
