Nissan has added some updates to the 2017 model of its fourth generation Pathfinder. These updates offer a breath of fresh air as the new look is pleasant and more aerodynamic. More importantly, the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder has now been loaded with more power than ever along with some additional safety features.
The 2017 Nissan Pathfinder incorporates a 3.5-litre DOHC V6 (285 hp, 259 pound-feet of torque) carry over engine with a direct injection system accompanied by electronic variable timing. The torque and horsepower now stand magnified resulting in a tow rating of 6,000 pounds for this new truck. This translates to an increase of 1,000 pounds over the previous model.
Another addition is of a new infotainment system and a lift gate that is motion activated. It is optional on S and SV models, while standard in SL and Premium versions. The enhanced safety features include forward collision braking, a surround-view camera system with moving object detection and adaptive cruise control.
Although unconfirmed, the price of 2017 Nissan Pathfinder is expected to hover around the $30k starting price of the 2016 model.
