In an effort to enhance sales in the luxury sedan market, the 2017 Cadillac ATS will be cheaper by $650 to $ 1,100 than its preceding model. The exact price difference will depend on the trim level and each trim will be upgraded to include more standard features.
Moreover, the base engine of the 2017 Cadillac ATS will be a 2.0 litre turbocharged 4-cylinder as opposed to the 2.5 litre 4-cylinder of the current model. The highest trim level will be powered by a 3.6 litre V6.
The Cadillac ATS has seen a periodic decline in sales since 2013, which is probably what prompted the American automaker to consider the price and trim adjustments. Offering more value for money by including more standard features per trim will entice customers.
An added incentive is the 272 hp of the standard 2.0 litre engine, which is higher than the entry line sedans offered by the likes of BMW and Mercedes.
The Pricing details are not announced yet.
