The German automaker has released four teaser images of the Mercedes AMG GT-R model. It is scheduled to arrive at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed between June 23 and 26.

Judging from the teaser images, we can see that the body kit of Mercedes AMG GT-R model is aggressively designed to appear sporty. It can be seen equipped with a large black coloured rear wing. The body will most definitely make use of carbon fibre elements to keep the weight low for improved aerodynamics.

Not much is known currently regarding the powertrain, but we expect it to carry a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine, which will be capable of generating around 550 to 570 horsepower and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. With this powertrain, the Mercedes AMG GT-R could compete with the likes of McLaren’s 675LT and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

It will arrive at the dealerships in 2017.
