The Mercedes GLC F-Cell was first announced by the automaker in January and now official pictures have been revealed.

Hydrogen cars are expected to hit the roads in abundance in the coming few years, however hydrogen refueling stations are extremely scarce as of now. To address this issue, the German automaker will build the Mercedes GLC F-Cell crossover with a large battery pack that will be capable of driving the vehicle for around 30 miles solely on electricity.

Mercedes also assures that the fuel tank of GLC F-Cell can be filled in just three minutes. It is a lot quicker than the time gasoline and diesel powered cars take.

Currently, we are not sure if the large battery pack will give the Mercedes GLC F-Cell an edge over other fuel cell vehicles in terms of performance. More information will be unveiled by the automaker in the coming months.

The GLC F-Cell is expected to arrive by the end of 2017.
