The 2017 BMW i3 comes with high energy density lithium ion cells giving it a 50% increased battery capacity compared to its predecessor. The compact electric car has a capacity of 33 kilowatt hours, a significant increase in range, while the dimensions of the battery pack remain the same.

The price difference between the 2016 and 2017 BMW i3 is $1,200 with the latest model starting at $44,595. A Range Extender version (featuring the 94 Ah battery) is also available starting at $48,445. The prices of both models include shipping charges.

The 2017 BMW i3 has a range of 114 miles in different weather conditions and can spring from 0 to 60 mph in a little over 7 seconds. The all electric sporty vehicle holds its own on the efficiency metre with an expected EPA of 27 kWh/100 mi.
