The 2018 Jeep Wrangler has been spied by the folks at JLWranglerForums.com and the pictures suggest that it is going to be equipped with a new 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine.
The news about FCA building a turbo-gasoline engine capable of producing up to 300 horsepower already broke a few days back. Thanks to JLWranglerForum, we can now also look at the actual pictures of this engine codenamed ‘Hurricane’, installed in the prototype version of 2018 Jeep Wrangler.
This new unit is going to feature direct fuel injection system and variable valve timing for a better performance and greater fuel economy rating.
Talking about the new Jeep Wrangler, it will be accessible in 3 different body styles; a two door version, 4-door Wrangler Ultimate and a pickup body configuration. The exterior design has been tweaked a little to improve the Wrangler’s aerodynamic efficiency.
