Toyota initially announced the 2024 Land Cruiser would be priced in the mid-$50,000 range, and now the exact starting price is confirmed at $57,445, including the $1,495 destination fee, with deliveries slated to commence in the spring.
Despite the lower price compared to the 2021 model’s $85,665 base price, the two iterations differ significantly. While the previous full-size Land Cruiser accommodated up to eight occupants, the new version seats five. Additionally, the earlier model boasted a towing capacity of 8,200 pounds, surpassing the 6,000-pound rating of the latest SUV.
Here is the pricing of the new 2024 Land Cruiser variants:
2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Variant | Price (After $1,495 Destination Fee) |
Land Cruiser 1958 | $57,445 |
Land Cruiser | $63,445 |
Land Cruiser First Edition | $76,445 |
The pricing fell within our expectations for the 2024 Land Cruiser, but Toyota overestimated its fuel economy. The EPA’s combined rating of 23 miles per gallon was lower than Toyota’s projection of 27 mpg, yet significantly higher than the 2021 model’s 14-mpg rating.
Customers have the option to choose from seven exterior colors for their new Land Cruiser: Ice Cap, Wind Chill Pearl, Underground, Black, Meteor Shower, Trail Dust, and Heritage Blue. The last two colors come with a Grayscape roof, creating a two-tone appearance.
The new Land Cruiser comes exclusively with a hybrid-boosted, turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, delivering 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and features standard center- and rear-locking differentials.
The middle-tier model boasts a front stabilizer bar disconnect system for improved wheel articulation off-road, along with Multi-Terrain Select offering Mud, Dirt, and Sand modes for the 4WD system.
Toyota’s top-tier offering, the First Edition, will see only 5,000 units produced within the initial two months of Land Cruiser production. It includes a front skid plate, roof rack, 18-inch wheels with all-season tires, mudflaps, and heated and ventilated leather seats.
For reference, the pricing of the current Land Cruiser starts at AED 233,900 in the UAE.
