Currently unnamed, Turkeys new electric car is in development and the team of researchers suggests that it will be better than Tesla’s cars.
The project is led by Turkey’s Scientific and Technical Research Council (TÜBİTAK). The Industry and Technology Minister FikriIsik believes that this electric vehicle is going to be better and much safer than Tesla. How? While Tesla vehicles require a charging station, the Turkeys new electric car will feature an integrated charging station. Thus, it will also boast an extended range.
The exact specifications are not yet known, however we do know that it will feature a 1.0-litre 2-cylinder gasoline engine. TÜBİTAK is searching for partners worldwide and has in fact found one, National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS).
FikriIsik also stated that the development team is in talks with big companies like Bosch and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to speed up the building process.
