The 2018 Audi A5 debut has been confirmed by the automaker and the luxury coupe is going to be officially unveiled on June 2nd. The launch will follow after a six-day light show at the Audi Forum in Ingolstadt, Germany.

Although the 2018 Audi A5 has been caught at various occasions in different body styles, only the coupe variant will be showcased in June. It is based on the Volkswagen Group’s MLB evo platform, which is also found in the Audi A4.

The powertrain will probably remain the same as the previous model. The base trim will carry a turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine, the S5 will be equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-litre V-6, and the RS5 will be powered by either a naturally aspirated 4.2-litre V-8 or a new twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V-6.

The 2018 Audi A5 coupe will hit the dealerships in USA next spring, so we can expect it to arrive in the Middle East shortly after that.
