A few days back, we showed you the spy shots of 2017 Aston Martin Vantage GT8, which was caught test driving in Nürburgring, Germany. Now the automaker has officially raised the curtains to the Vantage GT8 and it will be built only for 150 exclusive customers.
Since it is based on the regular Vantage V8, the 2017 Aston Martin Vantage GT8 will carry the same 4.7L V8 engine. However the engine has been tuned; the standard V8 Vantage produces 420 horsepower, while the GT8 will churn out 440 ponies. The engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed automatic transmission.
The overall weight of the GT8 has been reduced by 100 kg compared to the standard model, because the GT8 has been inspired from the 2016 World Endurance Championship racing car. Other updates include Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 wheels, racing style inspired interior and acrylic plastic windows.
The starting price in the U.K is £165,000 (estimated $234,160). Whether anyone from the UAE will be the lucky owner, it is still too early to say anything about it.
