The luxury electric car maker has finally unveiled the Tesla Model 3, and besides being beautifully designed and equipped with the latest high end technologies, it is also pretty affordable.
The Tesla Model 3 is a 5-seat electric sedan with a range of up to 215 miles per charge. It has been awarded a 5-star safety rating in all the categories. We were following Elon Musk’s twitter account for updates related to the Model 3 and found out that in just 24 hours time, the company received around 180,000 pre-orders. Later, another tweet shows the total orders have reached to 253k.
During the unveiling ceremony, Elon Musk revealed that the Autopilot hardware and supercharging capability will be standard in the Tesla Model 3. Moreover, the base model will be capable of going from zero to 60 mph in just 6 seconds (0 to 96 km/h).
The base price starts at $35,000 (AED 128,553 according to today’s exchange rate), however there is still no news if Tesla will expand its market to the UAE anytime soon.
