The New York International Auto Show is just a few days away now and among all the exotic and expensive sports cars that are going to be revealed, Toyota has also decided to showcase something unique and eco-friendly. The newly released teaser image by Toyota hints the coming of a brand new Prius model with an updated design.
The teaser image shows the rear part of the new Prius model with enhanced LED tail lamps and a sedan type body style. Not much was revealed officially by the automaker except a statement saying that the next ‘mechanical marvel’ in the Prius lineup will be unveiled on Wednesday, March 23. However, according to autoguide.com, the most likely model will be 2017 Prius Plug-in hybrid.
The big question remains is that what would be range of this new Prius model? Of course it would surpass the 15 miles electric only rating of the 2015 Prius plugin hybrid, but by how much exactly. We would have to wait till 23rd March for that question to be answered.
