Mercedes has reduced the price of 2017 Mercedes Sprinter by offering a new enter-level variant ‘Worker’ making it an excellent option for new businesses. The price of the Sprinter Worker is set at $33,490 which is a couple of grand more pricey than the smaller Metris. The starting price of the Sprinter was previously set at $37,490, a bit too expensive for the likes of startup businesses.
The 2017 Mercedes Sprinter Worker is equipped with only the essential features which translate to a low price. The van is equipped with a 2.1 litre turbo diesel engine to produce a horsepower of 161 with 266 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a seven-speed auto transmission and can haul up to 5K lbs, however, the maximum freight limit is 3,512 lb.
The Worker van is 137.4 inches deep with a 66.5-in interior standing height. However, heavy-duty models such as Sprinter 2500 are also available for customers looking for extra space. The 2017 Sprinter Worker is at display on the 2016 Chicago Auto Show.
