An unnamed American with an obvious appreciation of classic vehicles has offered to pay Dh 6 million for an impounded Enzo Ferrari. The rare Ferrari has been in police custody in Dubai for almost 6 years.

The exclusive and rare Enzo Ferrari is one of the most expensive cars in the world – a limited edition of which only 399 were produced by the Italian auto company. It was designed by the famous Ken Okuyuma and was initially introduced at the 2002 Paris Motor Show. The company planned to produce only 349 which were all sold before production, but 50 units were built later on high demand from customers.

The impounded Enzo Ferrari red has been highly coveted by luxury supercar collectors. Dubai police have rejected the Dh 6 million offer, as the vehicle is wanted by Interpol and is under dispute. An auction or sale is out of the question until the dispute is settled.
