Honda ranks as most reliable automaker in a recent survey of over 30,000 European motorists. The survey was carried out by Organisation of Consumers and Users (OCU) and covered the reliability of 178 different models.

The Japanese automaker bagged a reliability rating of 93/100 with the Honda Jazz being termed as the most reliable car in the “utility” vehicles category. Other Honda cars that received high ratings include the Civic, CR-V and Insight all of which got a spot on the Top 10 list in their categories.

The OCU survey asked respondents to report on the number of breakdowns experienced in the previous year and types of problems faced. This data was then used to set up a reliability index which is primarily a comparison of the probability of different vehicle models breaking down. Around 79% respondents of the survey were recorded as having favourable recommendations for Honda vehicles.

A spokesperson from Honda said that they were pleased with the results which underline the Honda’s commitment to quality.
