After a long gap of 10 years, the American automaker has finally revealed the second-generation all-new 2017 GMC Acadia and the new Acadia All Terrain at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. Unlike the previous models, the 2nd generation Acadia is equipped with advanced active safety features to make for an excellent family SUV.

Despite the compact size due to losing 7,000 pounds, the 2017 GMC Acadia still has the capacity to adjust 5-7 passengers depending on the trim level you choose.

The all-new 2.5 litre V4 powertrain is capable delivering 195 hp to promise 28 miles per gallon fuel economy, whereas the range-topping 3.6 litre mill would pump out 310 hp to offer 25 miles per gallon. The 2017 GMC Acadia is also the first Crossover Utility Vehicle by General Motors to give an explicit engine turn on/off option to the driver to be used accordingly.

The new Acadia All Terrain model is well suited for snowy, slippery and rainy conditions. In fact the driver can select a particular drive mode to turn the weather conditions in favour of the Acadia All Terrain. The 2017 GMC Acadia will become available for sale this spring.
