General Motors revealed the production model of 2017 Chevrolet Bolt to the public at the Consumer Electronics Show this month. With the exception of a few exterior updates, the production model closely follows the design of the concept car.
The launch of the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt comes at a time when the Electronic Vehicle market is ripe for an extended range car. GM claims that its EV brainchild is capable of about 200 miles (though this is not tested yet). The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt is set for a smooth sail in the EV market segment carrying an affordable price tag.
The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt resembles to a small crossover. The flat battery pack is mounted under the floor, making it a comfortable five-seater with reasonable cargo space of 16.9 cubic feet. The car sits on a 102.4 inch wheelbase which is slightly longer than the Chevy Trax and Buick Encore.
Production is expected to start by the end of this year.
