A new Dubai based startup, Jannarelly Automotive’s first offering is designed along the lines of the iconic sports cars of the sixties. The Jannarelly Design-1 is a classic sports convertible with a distinct resemblance to the 1957 Ferrari Testarossa.

Weighing 1,600 pounds, the Jannarelly Design-1 features a steel frame and is built on fibreglass and carbon fibre. Sketches revealed by the company show a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel and bucket seats with four-point harness. The convertible has a removable hardtop.

The engine is a 3.5 litre naturally-aspirated V6 unit which generates 304 hp, giving the Design-1 a 0-60 mph score in under 4 seconds. The car features a 6 speed manual transmission.

The Design-1 is fully customizable and with the exception of Nissan-borrowed V6 engine (which the company plans to replace), all its parts are developed in-house. The base price of the Design-1 is $55,000 (less taxes and delivery), and the automaker plans to develop only 30 cars in the start.
