The German automaker has released a few hints in a video showing the new Volkswagen Microbus concept. The fog lights, LED headlights and an illuminated grille point towards the evidence of it being a microbus. Reportedly, it will be an electric vehicle. It also looks to have a lift gate instead of a conventional trunk with a boxy shape and sliding doors; however, none of this has been confirmed yet.
With a range between 250 and 310 miles, the Volkswagen Microbus concept is speculated to revive as a full-fledged electric vehicle. According to the automaker, this concept will initiate a new period of inexpensive long-distance electromobility.
Even though the exact style of the vehicle is unconfirmed, it may turn out to be a public friendly utility vehicle. Through this move, the company is looking to move away from the emissions cheating scandal, which cost it a fortune.
