Premium auto brand GMC has announced that its sales in the Kingdom last month were the highest November sales on record. GMC also said the number of vehicles sold in the last month compared to the same time last year had grown by 83%.
The result was spurred by the fact that the company had the highest November sales of the GMC Terrain crossover in its history, and sold twice as many Yukon and Yukon XL SUV models as in November 2014. The Sierra pickup was also a strong contributor, with 77% growth over last year.
Managing Director of General Motors KSA Operations, Luay Al Shurafa said, “We have been focusing on offering Saudi customers added value. We define ‘value’ not only in terms of the added features and aftersales program that come with our vehicles, but by having meaningful interactions with customers at our dealerships and making sure that the cost of ownership remains incredibly competitive and transparent.”
“GMC is a brand that resonates with Saudi Arabia. It’s great that even after 111 years in the region, we’re continuing to raise the bar and seeing more and more owners excited and delighted with their GMC Acadia and GMC Terrain crossovers, the GMC Sierra pickup and the Yukon SUVs, or opting for the premium spec, Denali range.”
Al Shurafa expects the excitement and growth to continue as the new-look 2016 Sierra is now becoming available at dealerships, starting with regular cabs, to be followed by crew cabs.
