The Fiat Chrysler Automobile is all set to introduce its new 2017 Chrysler Town & Country at the Detroit Auto Show that is scheduled to take place next month. Although it will be gasoline powered, but the company also has plans to launch a plug-in hybrid variant of the Town & Country in the near future.
Talking to Detroit Free Press, Tim Kuniskis the Fiat Chrysler’s passenger car head stated that the 2017 Chrysler Town & Country will serve as a test ground for company’s hybrid powertrain. He also revealed about the FCA plans to equip its all vehicles with an alternative hybrid powertrain by the year 2023. Regarding the 2017 Chrysler Town & Country, he seems confident that the minivan will do well in the markets.
In the past years, the Town & Country was always launched side by side with the new Dodge Caravan, but it’s not going to happen this time as the automaker has discontinued the Grand Caravan, however it is still in production in the U.S and Canada.
