Automobile fans could hardly hold their excitement after Bugatti Chiron spy photographs surfaced on the internet. Bugatti has recently joined the league of some other automobile players after participating in Vision Gran Turismo video game challenge where a virtual concept of Bugatti Veyron’s successor (which has an unbeatable record of being the king of super cars since 2005) was unveiled in the form of racer evolving from a super car which has created quite a lot of buzz!

The model is due to be called Chiron, though name is still not confirmed from official sources, and will be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March 2016. The price of the model is expected to start from 2.2 million Euros, and with special editions/modifications, one can only expect it to go quite higher than this. The spy shots of Bugatti Chiron prototypes seem to be pretty much in sync with the Vision GT concept.

As for the specifications revealed so far, the mean machine will have a power up to 1,480 hp, thereby projecting a top speed of 288mph. Coming with Quad Turbo 8.0 litre W16 engine, the super car is also designed to hit 0-62mph in a matter of 2.3 seconds. Wolfgang Durheimer, CEO of Bugatti claims that this will be ‘the best supercar in the world’.

At the first site, it seems quite similar to its predecessor; however, Chiron has been re-designed from the scratch. Other features which are expected to be a part of this super car will include direct fuel injection, electronic turbos and cylinder deactivation. The model also claims to be having better aerodynamics.

With these spy shots, the automobile enthusiasts now know that development is surely underway. Thankfully, the parent company Volkswagen seems to be providing unending support for this project the prospects of which might be hurt after the diesel defeat device scandal. Be ready fans, another Bugatti engineering marvel is coming up to excel the speed limits.
