The most anticipated electric powered crossover by the American automaker, the Tesla Model X will arrive by early 2016 with a starting price tag of $80,000.
Having a stylish exterior design of an SUV and functionalities of a minivan, the Tesla Model X will be available in 3 variants, 70D, 90D, and P90D. The Model X 70D is equipped with a 70 kWh battery and has an estimated EPA range of 220 miles. It can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 6 seconds with a top speed of 140 mph.
The Tesla Model X 90D carries a 90 kWh battery, has a 257 miles range and can hit the 60 mph mark in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.
The high performance model, the Tesla Model X P90D renders the same 90 kWh battery and has a lower 250 miles range, but it can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds. Turn on the ludicrous mode and you can cover the same distance in an impressive 3.2 seconds.
All the variants feature an all-wheel drive, while the 90D and P90D boast a standard smart air suspension system.
Other premium amenities such as an advanced sound system, extra seating and an autopilot system can be added too, but that will increase the price.
