The latest initiative by Dubai Police calls for public involvement in identifying traffic violations and has been aptly named We are all Police. It is hoped that this will help promoting cooperation between the police and community.

As part of the new service, members of the community can register themselves on the Dubai Police website and report traffic violations via a number of modes including video, pictures, phone call on toll free number 8004353, internet site, and Dubai Police mobile app.

The service is only applicable in Dubai, meaning registered users of the service may only report violations within the vicinity of Dubai city. In order to discourage misuse of the service, for instance using this as a means for personal vendetta, Dubai Police have announced that there will be serious legal ramifications for users who report false information. Moreover, motorists have to follow a set of rules to keep themselves and others safe while reporting such incidents. These include not driving while trying to send a report.

Hopefully, We are all Police campaign will help curb traffic violations.
