The Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 was first introduced last year featuring a V10 powerhouse and attractive design, and now the automaker has unveiled Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder (Convertible) at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Replacing the Gallardo Spyder, the soft-top of the new Huracán is same as its predecessor, accessible in black, brown and red, which can be used at speeds of up to 31 mph.

The Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder convertible houses the same engine as its coupe sibling i.e 5.2L V10 cranking 601 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque channeled to all the wheels via seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Lamborghini believes it can complete 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 3.4 seconds and can go as fast as 324 km/h.

Lamborghini didn’t only introduce the convertible variant of the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder, they are also going to fit cylinder-deactivation system in all the Huracán models. The system would save a lot of fuel in light load conditions plus there is engine stop-start system.

“The Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder is the next chapter in the success story of the naturally aspirated V-10 Huracán, and continues a Lamborghini tradition of open air motoring,” Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann said at the reveal. “Its predecessor, the Gallardo Spyder, was the best-selling open top model in Lamborghini’s history—we expect the Huracán Spyder to exceed its predecessor in every way.”
