P.T. Honda Prospect Motor has introduced a 7 seater Honda BR-V crossover concept, which was revealed at the 2015 Indonesian Auto Show. The crossover is aimed to boost the sales by targeting Asian families for which the Honda Pilot is too big to cater their needs.

The Bold Runabout Vehicle (BR-V) is Honda’s effort to fill the gap. The 2016 Honda BR-V boasts a high ground clearance and copious under body safeguard, while the alloy wheels seem inspired from the CR-V. Moreover, an additional rail fitting is offered as a standard feature.

Luckily, the basic power-train specifications have been revealed; it houses a 1.5 litre 4 cylinder engine, which churns out 120 hp and 107 lb-ft or torque. The transmission system options include 6 speed automatic and CVT, which ever the buyer prefers.

As said earlier, the Honda BR-V is aimed at Asian markets, so expect it to be a regular model in many Asian countries. The prototype seen in photos closely outlines the production version, which will hit the assembly lines in January 2016.

Other than the Honda BR-V, Honda also aspires to make CR-V with optional three-row seats.
