Say goodbye to your old Mitsubishi Pajero Sport as the Japanese automaker has just revealed a new and improved model. It has been a good seven year long journey with the previous model, but now this latest SUV packed with some intriguing features will give a hard time to its competitors.

The new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport which is based on Triton pickup, was revealed last week in Bangkok, Thailand. Apart from boasting new exterior styling, it also features some impressive powertrain upgrades which include a more robust 2.4-litre Mivec2 turbo diesel engine, paired with eight-speed automatic transmission capable to deliver around 180 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. The utility vehicle will have the Mitsubishi’s Super Select 4WD system which will ensure a powerful and sturdy performance on all sorts of landscapes.

New safety features will include a Blind Spot Warning, Forward Collision Mitigation, Hill Descent Control, Ultrasonic Misacceleration system, and of course an off-road mode. The interior has also been updated featuring a new Multi-around Monitor and a touch-screen infotainment system.

The new Pajero Sport will be marketed in 90 countries. More detailed specs will be released in the coming months, so stay tuned.
