The 2016 Audi TT RS coupe will not be featuring Manual transmission, the same car ironically offered only Manual without automatic variant in the model year 2012.
Back in March, the German automaker demonstrated the power of the latest 306 hp Audi TT RS that helped it leap from 0-100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds. Now according to caranddriver, the same car will only be available in seven-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission system.
The TT line-up has undergone a number of changes when it comes to transmission system. For example, the 1st generation models were offered with dual-clutch and a manual powertrain in Europe, then the 2012 release abandoned automatic transmission system, and again according to the latest news, there comes another dramatic change with no manual at all.
The same transmission in RS3 was the reason behind its success. What’s worth commenting here is that Audi’s native manual gearboxes work so awesomely well that this news will ruin the expectations of some Audi fans.
