Spyshots of the 2016 Mercedes S63 AMG convertible surfaced ahead of the car’s grand debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which is due to take place this September. The new Mercedes convertible will rival the likes of Bentley Continental GTC.

Images of the vehicle revealed a mildly disguised model with a cloth drop-top that can stow within seven measly seconds, even you are driving the car. Some reports suggest that the S63 AMG convertible will be making its first appearance soon after the launch of the S-class in Germany.

Akin to its coupe version, the S63 AMG will enclose a 5.5 litre twin turbocharged V8 engine generating 577 hp. On the other hand, the S-Class convertible is expected to possess either a 4.7-litre V8 engine producing 455 hp or a more powerful 6.0-litre V12 twin-turbo engine to yield 521 hp.

It is anticipated that the price of the S65 will be $500k while the expected cost of S500 might stand at $350K, when it reaches the markets in 2016.
