Audi finally opened up about its forthcoming RS 5 Sportback, throwing bits of clues. It is planning to assault on car marketplace in the United States, following in the footsteps of RS 7 models.

Audi has never spoken about its latest RS line-up until now. According to CarAndDriver, chief of Audi’s Quattro division hinted few things about the mysterious car, including its power source which is going to be a 6-cyl turbocharged mill, delivering more than 420 horsepower.

The information so far revealed also tells that the RS 5 sportback is perhaps passing through assembly lines as we speak, and along with RS 7 hatchback, both vehicles will be on their way to US and China. However, the choice of bodystyling is still an undecided issue, because the automaker wishes to render an indigenous appeal to the cars according to their countries, so more buyers can be attracted.

The all-new Audi RS 5 is expected to appear on scene within 2 years, while the brand’s currently more focused on A5 Sportback and its S5 variant.
