The growing trend of 3D printing is now going to attract car enthusiasts too, as the American automaker Ford has announced an online 3D printing store for its car models. The current available models at the Ford 3D Store encompass the F-150 Raptor, Shelby GT350R, Focus ST and Fiesta ST, and more will join soon.

The scale used for 3D printed model is 1/32nd, which will make the F-150 about 8 or 9 inch long. The consumers can either buy the models directly from the store, which will be in plastic material, or download the digital files and get the model printed themselves in any material they prefer.

Ford is the first automaker to introduce 3D car model printing. Mark Bentley, the licensing manager at Ford, said that the company is already making use of 3D technology to design car parts and now wants to share the technology with its consumers too.

If you have been a fan of Hot Wheel toy cars in your childhood, then these 3D printed Ford cars are something you will drool over too.
