After jumpstarting development on a revived Supra, Toyota has now begun work on another addition to the three-tiered lineup already featuring the 86 Cult coupe. The Baby Scion FR-S is a lightweight $20,000 rear wheel drive that is expected to share the same power and utilities as that of the 86 Cult coupe.

Reportedly, it is not yet decided whether the car will be a two-seater or a four-seater. However, details have emerged of the car being designed as a city-style coupe. Powertrain details are still a bit sketchy, nevertheless reports have surfaced of Toyota developing road-going applications of its super capacitor hybrid system.

These details were revealed by the company while commemorating the first anniversary of 86 cult coupe. Further reports confirm that the company will reveal a Hybrid R concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show in order to show how this technology can be fitted into all three sports cars.
