Over the years, the Lotus Elise has gained quite a reputation and to honour the completion of its 20 years, Lotus has introduced 20th Anniversary Elise Edition. The special edition is adapted from the renowned Elise S Club racer and will incorporate the classic Elise colour schemes.
The Elise was first launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1995 where it was well received by the audience owing to its advanced design and aluminuim chassis, and thereby became the most celebrated Lotus model.
The new model, after receiving trims, weighs 914kg making it considerably lighter than the Elise S. It is powered by a 1.8 litre supercharged engine generating 217 bhp and 184 lb-ft of torque.
Other features of the car, which is available in blue, green, yellow and silver body paints, include black forged alloy wheels, lightweight seats, Elise 20th Anniversary labels branded on the exterior and dashboard along with matte black rear diffuser, wing mirrors, roll hoop and rear transom.
