Nissan has decided to commemorate its glorious 45 years since the launch of its first Skyline GT-R with a special 2016 Gold Edition GT-R which is slated for release in the US only with less than 30 units.

The 45th Anniversary Gold Edition GT-R boasts a few upgrades over Premium edition including a bright gold coat of paint called Silica Brass along with a gold-tone VIN plate and a dashboard plaque. The exclusive model is priced at $102,770 which costs an additional $1,000 over the original price of $101,770 excluding the destination charge of $1,595.

Moreover, the GT-R Premium will be sporting 20-spoke RAYS aluminium wheels over the previous 10-spoke wheels with a starting price of $101,770 in the US. Both, the Premium as well as the Black Edition, would receive an extra five horsepower and are powered by the same 3.8 litre twin turbo V-6 engine generating 550 hp. Price of the Black Edition and the Nismo remain unchanged at $111,510 and $149,990 respectively.
