Lamborghini made a record sale of 2,530 cars in the previous year, breaking its own sales record of selling 2,430 driving machines in 2008. It took around 6 years for the Italian marque to reach this height and top over its own record, however the automaker is proud to regard 2014 as the best sales year ever for Lambo.

Lamborghini has claimed to sell 2,530 cars in 2014 compared to 2,121 sold in 2013, a 19% bump. The firm has also reported an added profit of 24 percent compared to 2013, which mounted up to 629 million.

The road runner that has made this possible is Gallardo-replacing Huracán, which proved to be a hot favourite since its unveiling in the market. The Aventador was also present in this race behind Huracan. Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Lamborghini attributes its success to Lambo’s “eye-catching model mix, ongoing investment and stable market”.

Lambo claims US to be its biggest customer-base, while China follows.

The Italian automobile manufacturer recently hired 192 new personnel and specialists, which made the firm’s employee count to 1,175. Lamborghini sold 265 of its final Gallardos in 2014, bringing the total sales of the company to 14, 022 units.
