There is a clichéd image attached to the word “station wagon”; that of a sober-looking, dull-coloured, diesel-powered manual vehicle with a long roof and enough cargo space to comfortably house several small kids or suitcases.

This time around, Audi and MTM have taken the responsibility of changing our perception of station wagons forever. Enter the MTM RS6 Clubsport, the German automaker’s extremely powerful station wagon customized by the German tuner, MTM. Powered by a critically-acclaimed 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, this beast cranks 750 HP and 697 pound-feet of torque.

While the powertrain leaves an extremely positive first impression, things somewhat change on the inside. Painted with an uncomfortably sharp orange colour, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea. However, the carbon-fibre shells and orange leather-padding in the door panels, centre armrest and on the sides of the centre console offer some redemption to the interior.

The exterior displays different shades of grey in addition to two parallel orange strips running across the sides of the vehicle, giving it a more restrained look compared to the seats inside. The 21-inch alloy wheels add to the monster’s visual appeal.

The beastly station wagon was presented at the Geneva Auto Show 2015.
