This is the latest of Mercedes Benz production, raising the bar into a new level, it is getting more and more competitive in the Luxury SUV category. What you see is called the G500 4×4 and it comes in a number of body styles.
If you recall Benz rolled out the indomitable G63 AMG 6×6 – a half-million-dollar, six-wheeled monster truck powered by 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. Evidently enough people liked the idea but didn’t see the point in that extra set of wheels, so Mercedes has toned it down – just a little – but kept the high-riding suspension.
Today Mercedes benz has supprized us in a bright shade of Hulk green, and if you look closely the G500 sits between the standard model and the 6×6, keeping the jacked-up suspension and giant wheels, but losing the extra axle, which I think it is more attractive. Under the hood the non-AMG comes with a 5.5-liter V8 engine which produce 382-horsepower.
More details about the Mercedes Benz G500 will be released next week ahead of a likely debut in Geneva.
