The Lexus RC F is popping up around the world with light bars on its roof. This week the luxury marque’s 467hp grand tourer reported for duty in Australia’s V8 Supercars series as a safety car, as well as Dubai’s supercar-laden police fleet.

V8 Supercars is Australia’s premier road racing series, hugely popular and comparable to NASCAR in the US. Decked out in white and blue livery, the RC F will serve as the pace car in all 15 races of the series in 2015.

“V8 Supercars is the world’s leading touring car series and our involvement as supplier of vehicles reflects the new energy in our brand and our dynamic model lines,” Lexus Australia’s chief executive Sean Hanley said.

In addition to the RC F, Lexus has also supplied a GS 350 F Sport as an official course car and an IS 350 F Sport as the official medical car. Lexus itself does not compete in the series, which consists of Ford Falcons, Holden Commodores, Nissan Altimas and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. However, Lexus recently announced plans for a worldwide racing program based on the RC F.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the globe, a Lexus RC F patrol car has joined Dubai’s police department, alongside a short-wheelbase Toyota Land Cruiser. As is typical of a new vehicle donning the white and green color scheme, it is presented in a video, which you can watch below.
