McLaren has introduced its first regionally tailored model, the 625C, designed specifically for the Asian market.
Responding to customer demand in the company’s fastest-growing market, the company has built a model that mimics the 650S in visual design but with a focus on comfort.
The suspension hardware and interconnected dampers have been revised to maintain handling capabilities while improving ride quality, promising “the most refined ride” of any McLaren model yet. Drivers can also switch to ‘Sport’ and ‘Track’ modes when comfort is not the highest priority.
The model name refers to the power output of the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, which has been detuned to produce 625 horsepower — 25 fewer than the 650S. Acceleration to 62 mph from a standstill takes just 3.1 seconds, while top speed matches the 650S at 333 kmph.
