Chrysler has unveiled its new Dodge Charger Pursuit, updating the law-enforcement sedan for 2015.

The police edition brings the same revamped appearance as the civilian refresh that was introduced earlier this year in New York. Changes include a thinner crosshair grille, LED turn signals and DRLs, swept headlights with projector lenses, streamlined side scallops and ‘racetrack’ tail lamps, among other tweaks.

After listening to input from law enforcement officers and Dodge’s Police Advisory Board, the company has implemented a list of improvements specific to the Pursuit model.

The new steering wheel now features mappable auxiliary buttons that can control aftermarket gear, while the larger brake package is now standard equipment. The “mobile command” interior has also been redesigned, featuring a new systems interface module and a column-mounted shifter that allows more gear to be mounted to the center console.

Engine options remain unchanged, providing a choice between the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or the 5.7-liter HEMI V8. The former provides 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, while the latter delivers 370 ponies and 390 lb-ft of torque.

Speeders in the USA may begin noticing the refreshed Charger Pursuit in their rearview mirrors sometime later this year.
