Bentley has shed light on plans to release one or two new car models after the company’s upcoming SUV hits the market.

The potential designs will likely include a two-seat sports car or another traditional model, which would slot between the Mulsanne and the Continental. CEO Wolfgang Duerheimer suggests both ideas are viable, though the company will likely choose one option to launch first as a follow-up to the SUV.

“It needs to be a solid statement in terms of luxury and performance,” the executive said at a press event, as quoted by Bloomberg.

The Biritish automaker is also said to have finalized the design for its foray into the SUV market. The production edition is expected to be significantly different from the EXP 9 F concept that appeared two years ago.

“The concept is completely set apart and was done separately,” design head Luc Donkerwolke told Autocar. “After Geneva 2012, I was told to do a new one. It’s completely different to the concept car.”

The SUV does not yet have a name, but several proposals are reportedly being considered. Production is expected to begin in 2016, with retail price likely above $200,000.
