Suhail Bahwan Automobiles (SBA), the sole distributor and importer of Nissan in the region, revealed the new and modified Sunny model at a recent launch ceremony, reiterating that Nissan’s domineering position in Oman will further be strengthened with this latest introduction.

A spokesperson from SBA highlighted that Sunny has earned a world-wide acclaim for being highly reliable and a well-engineered car. He said, its launch in Oman will open new choices for families in the compact sedans category.

2015 Nissan Sunny Highlights

This will be the tenth generation Sunny and has been extensively modified, both inside out, to add to its appeal and performance.

On the exterior, considerable enhancements have given the vehicle sleek and rather bold looks. The front has been adorned with larger grille, a better bumper and beautiful boomerang shaped headlamps. The rear is spicier with flared bumper, stylish chrome trunk and black diffuser cladding.

The overall look has been further improved with 15-inch V-spoke aluminium wheel design, a permanent short antenna at the rear part of the roof, chrome door handles and Outside Rear View Mirror.

Nissan hasn’t limited these changes to the exterior, the interior has also received a similar boost. The inside is much more roomy and comfortable with a new seat fabric. Loads of gadgets have flooded the deck with a drive computer displaying temperature, telephone controls, integrated audio options and much more. And of course the Nissan Connect feature enables occupants to browse through Facebook and Google.

Sunny holds a 1.5-litre HR16DE 4-cylinder engine that produces 99-horsepower at 6,000rmp. The engine is also one of the most fuel-efficient where a dual injector system allows for a broader injection of fuel.

The 2015 Nissan Sunny has some of the best safety features, making it a perfect option for small families. Dual airbags, anti-lock braking system and Brake Assist are some of the standard features across the Sunny line-up.

This latest version is expected to reach showrooms in Oman late next month.
