American tuner Saleen has published a lone teaser image that previews the upcoming 2015 S302.

The teaser image confirms the S302 features a more aggressive look than the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang on which it is based. The front end gains a Saleen-specific radiator grille with horizontal slats, black trim around the headlights as well as a new bumper that incorporates two air blades and thin LED turn signals.

Although the California-based company has not published any technical details about the S302, the large hood scoop hints it packs more grunt than the stock Mustang.

Saleen boldly promises the S302 will be one of the most extreme Mustangs it has built in its 31-year long history.

“With this model being the first major Mustang redesign since 2005, we took this as an opportunity to push the limits in both design and performance. We feel this latest Saleen mustang model is perfectly positioned as the next American exotic, campaigning on the world stage,” said the company in a statement.

Full details about the Saleen S302 will emerge in the coming months. The coupe is expected to greet the public for the first time before the end of the end of the year and go on sale shortly after.
