Infiniti has promised to bring its Q50 Eau Rouge to the Goodwood Festival of Speed for the first live demonstration in public.
Attendees will get a chance to hear the twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter engine at full throttle. Borrowed from the Nissan GT-R, the mill has been retuned for 560 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque.
The working prototype will be piloted by Infiniti Red Bull Racing Team drivers Christian Horner and Sebastian Buemi, both of whom will power up Goodwood Hill for several performance climbs.
Delivering Godzilla power to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission, the Eau Rouge is expected to reach 60 mph from a standstill in under four seconds before topping out at 180 mph.
“The most powerful Infiniti ever has not been confirmed for production,” the company cautions. “But Infiniti will continue to listen to feedback from potential customers.”
