Chevrolet announced production of the Camaro will come to an end after the 2024 model year. As a farewell gesture to the sixth-generation Camaro, the automaker plans to release a limited Collector’s Edition. This special edition will feature a distinct exterior paint color, paying homage to the car’s original code name, Panther. The Collector’s Edition will be offered on various trims including LT/RS, LT1, SS, and ZL1, exclusively in North America.

Chevy plans to keep the production of the ZL1 Collector’s Edition at a modest 350 units. This unique edition will showcase the Panther Black Matte exterior paint, representing the first time the Camaro offers a factory matte finish. To enhance its aesthetic, the company will complement the paint with a stripe in a black metallic shade.

The upcoming model will showcase the front splitter and rear wing inspired by the ZL1 1LE coupe, complemented by vibrant red calipers. On the interior, the distinctive Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition will proudly display a serialized steering wheel badge, symbolizing its unique production order.

The special edition of the LT/RS, LT1, and SS trims offers distinct features compared to the ZL1 variant. The lower-tier models showcase an elegant Panther Black Metallic Tintcoat exterior paint with complementary satin black accent stripes. These cars will be equipped with 20-inch wheels finished in a refined satin black, while there is also an option to select polished forged wheels. Additionally, the package will include the front splitter from the 1LE package and the rear spoiler from the ZL1, further enhancing the overall aesthetic.

Each Camaro in the Collector’s Edition lineup will showcase distinctive Panther elements. The front badge artfully integrates a panther into the letter “R.” Additionally, the majestic feline will grace the steering wheel emblem. For the interior, Chevy has crafted exclusive black upholstery and custom-designed floor mats for every vehicle.

Customers who purchase the ZL1 Collector’s Edition will also be rewarded with a Canfield Sport 44mm timepiece from Shinola. This exclusive watch will bear a unique serial number that corresponds to the owner’s steering wheel badge. Furthermore, the watch proudly showcases the iconic Camaro logo on its face, complemented by an elegant panther engraving on the band. Additionally, each individual acquiring a Collector’s Edition Camaro will be presented with a special welcome package.

The final production run of the Camaro will be open for orders beginning June 15th. Enthusiasts can look forward to the arrival of the Camaro Collector’s Edition in the later part of summer. The most affordable variant of this special edition is the 1LT, priced at $39,440 (all prices are for the coupe and include the destination charge). This pricing incorporates the inclusion of the $1,950 RS pack, which can be upgraded for an additional $4,995. For those seeking the LT1 model, the price climbs to $47,385, with the RS pack costing $5,495 and the mandatory inclusion of the $1,495 RS pack.

The 1SS Collector’s Edition package comes at an additional cost of $5,995, making the starting price $49,890. Among the available versions, the ZL1 is the most expensive, priced at $88,690, with the package requiring an extra $14,995.

Please note that the mentioned prices do not include the gas guzzler tax, which is applicable for the 650-horsepower ZL1. When the 2024 Camaro becomes available for purchase, it will have a considerably higher price, starting at $32,495 for the LT coupe and $38,495 for the convertible. The pricing details for the Collector’s Edition are expected to be announced closer to the car’s release date.
