For the 2024 model year, Toyota reintroduced the Corolla Nightshade Special Edition. The SE trim serves as the basis for this edition, which is available on the saloon, hatch, and hybrid models. The powertrain remains unaltered, but the package has improved the exterior and interior styling.
The unique Corolla acquires 18-inch wheels with a bronze finish, front and rear badges that are darkened out, and mirror caps in black to begin. Further enhancements encompass a sport mesh front grille with a glossy black appearance, sport side rocker panels painted in black, and a shark fin antenna also in black. The rear lip spoiler and lower diffuser are encompassed by the black aesthetic as well. The hatch incorporates a couple of additional style elements, such as a sizable vented sport wing in black and a roof with two shades.
Toyota plans to provide the Nightshade Edition for the Corolla Hybrid, which will also encompass the version equipped with all-wheel drive. The hybrid houses a 1.8-litre four-cylinder motor and two electric motors, generating a total of 138 horsepower. As for the non-hybrid Corolla, it houses a more sizable 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, delivering 169 hp.
The Corolla smoothly glides on the company’s latest platform – the Toyota New Global Architecture-C (TNGA-C). An Independent MacPherson-style strut front suspension and a rear suspension with a multi-link design are part of the package.
The Corolla saloon and hybrid will be accessible in the following hues: Midnight Black Metallic, Classic Silver Metallic, and Ice Cap exterior. The hatchback comes with three two-shade blends, including Windchill Pearl with Midnight Black Metallic roof, Classic Silver Metallic with Midnight Black Metallic roof, and solid Midnight Black Metallic.
Every 2024 Corolla Midnight model comes equipped with sports seats with cloth inserts, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, and an 8.0-inch multimedia display. The exclusive version can be obtained with a JBL Sound System and the SE Premium bundles, incorporating a formidable panoramic sunroof, Qi wireless charging, blind-spot surveillance, and rear cross-traffic warning.
According to Toyota, the latest Corolla Nightshade editions are anticipated to reach dealerships during autumn. Later this year, the car manufacturer will unveil the Nightshade version’s pricing as well as that of the 2024 Corolla series. The company has recently refurbished the sedan and hatch for 2023, providing them with a minor facelift.
