The Mini Clubman Final Edition, the last of its kind, bids adieu to the wagon. This exclusive offering is limited to a mere 1,969 units worldwide, a clear allusion to the year of the original model’s introduction. Although the pricing and exact number of Clubman Final Editions earmarked for the United States remain shrouded in secrecy, Motor1.com has sought clarification from the automaker. “We’re in the process of planning a US press release with market-specific details, which we expect to unveil in a few weeks’ time once we have everything confirmed. Presently, this is a global announcement,” a spokesperson disclosed.
The Final Edition struts its stuff in three vibrant hues, namely Nanuq White, Enigmatic Black, and Melting Silver. The body flaunts alluring Shimmer Copper accents in various areas such as the grille surround and the stripes that embellish the hood, side, and rear. The C-pillar features a “1 of 1969” insignia that adds an exclusive touch. Meanwhile, the 18-inch wheels sport a dazzling copper-colored face and black details, ensuring that the Final Edition is an absolute feast for the eyes.
As the passengers enter this particular model, their attention is immediately captured by the door sills that boast a striking and rather bold Final Edition branding. The Nappa-leather-clad steering wheel is yet another aspect of the vehicle that stands out, as its lower spoke features the same emblem that’s plastered on the door sills. The upholstery is a beguiling combination of black and brown hues, while the seatbacks feature an anthracite-colored Piquet fabric insert, lending an air of sophistication to the car’s interior. The central instrument panel is a sight to behold, as it’s adorned with a captivating mix of Sage Green Dark and Shimmer Copper trim, making for a truly breathtaking sight. It’s worth noting that the original Mini Clubman was available between 1969 and 1981, a fact that further underscores the brand’s rich heritage. Under the stewardship of BMW, Mini revived the wagon in 2007, albeit with a rather curious door arrangement that comprised one door on the left side, two on the right side, and a split opening at the back. A new generation of the model was launched in 2015, marking yet another milestone in the brand’s storied history.
It’s no secret that Mini is currently investing heavily in electrifying its lineup, and the upcoming 2025 Aceman EV SUV is a testament to the brand’s unwavering commitment to sustainability. Among other things, the base model features a single electric motor that drives the front wheels and generates an impressive 181 horsepower. The 40-kilowatt-hour battery, on the other hand, offers an estimated range of 186 miles in the WLTP cycle, a remarkable feat by any measure. The SE trim, meanwhile, takes things up a notch, boasting an enhanced power output of 215 hp, as well as an increased battery capacity of 54 kWh, which translates to a whopping 249 miles of driving distance.
Finally, the larger Countryman EV is poised to hit the market in the first quarter of 2024, and it’s already generating quite a buzz among auto enthusiasts. Buyers will have the option of choosing between two different battery packs – 54-kWh or 64-kWh, depending on their needs and preferences. The base model comes equipped with a single motor that generates a commendable 188 hp, while the SE variant boasts two motors that offer all-wheel drive, as well as an impressive power output of 268 hp.
