Carroll Shelby, a name synonymous with American automotive excellence, would have celebrated his 100th birthday on January 11, 2023. In honor of this milestone, Shelby American is introducing a limited-edition package for the Ford Mustang GT, fittingly named the 2023 Carroll Shelby Centennial Edition Mustang.
This special build not only boasts performance upgrades but also includes exclusive Centennial branding, such as an endorsed black Stetson hat and a Shelby Centennial Book, issued by Team Shelby, to mark its one-of-a-kind status.
The exterior of the Shelby Mustang features Centennial labeling on the tail panel, side rocker stripes, badges, as well as Le Man’s over-the-top satin black vinyl striping. We also see the door sill plates, floor mats, and leather upholstery all feature Carroll Shelby Centennial Edition crests and motifs.
Under the hood, the 2023 Carroll Shelby Centennial Edition Mustang packs a punch with a black Shelby supercharger that increases the 5.0-liter V8’s output to an impressive 750 horsepower (559 kilowatts) and sits on a pair of 20-inch satin black wheels boasting Shelby-spec 305/30/20 performance tires.
Other performance upgrades include a ventilated hood, a high-performance radiator, an under-hood fluid cap kit, and a Borla cat-back exhaust, along with performance springs, sway bars, variable caster/camber plates, and Ford Performance Pack-type OEM Brembo front calipers.
